It's easy to get involved with the Bountiful Cities Project!
Most people get started by coming to a workday.
At a workday, you'll work with a group to accomplish whatever needs doing that particular day. Recent workdays at the Pearson Drive Garden saw us preparing a home for the bees, renovating garden beds, and planting the summer crop.
Our garden is not organized into individual plots that are rented out, as are some community gardens. Rather, the entire garden is community space.
We balance the overall direction and vision for the garden with the projects that any single person might want to carry out in the garden.
People are welcome to come to the Pearson Street Garden at any time - if you know your way around garden tasks, you can simply do what you like, in keeping with the overall vision of the garden.
If you're a new gardener, you may want to start out by coming to a workday.
There are plenty of opportunities to get more involved, in gardening, beekeeping, compost maintenance, watering, working with youth, organizing and administration.
